Oh my! If I promise to wear ruby slippers with the socks I would knit would the random generator please pick me?! …

  2. Pam Wall

Just my colors! Oh my…that would mean another sock project! I need to learn to knit in my sleep :P.

  3. Jocelyne

More sock yarn? Well, I have finished *four* projects this month and only cast on one. I would even wait until the New Year to cast on.

  4. Sam

I see visions of the shawl that yarn could make, dancing in my head.. Now to study my technique books just in case.

  5. Carrie Armbrecht

That is a great colorway. I’ve hear wonderful things about Lisa Souza yarn, but haven’t had the chance to try it yet. I would love to knit this.

  6. Jen Stremel

Beware those Ninjas…they are stealthy. And deadly. And I now need to see if I can justify buying a little more sock yarn…because that colorway is gorgeous.

  7. Amber

Pretty! Although I just finished packing up my self imposed sock club for 2011, so do I need more yarn? Who am I kidding, who doesn’t need more sock yarn!

  8. RebKnitz

Dear Random Number Generator: I have been a very good girl this year but even so I only got 2 presents for Chanukah. It would really make me happy if you were to pick me.

  9. Renee

Please pick me! I’ve not made any socks in ages and it’s time for a ‘me’ project after making all these xmas presents. (please please).

  10. Desiree

I don’t know what I wouldn’t give for this yarn. I have started to knit just socks for practicality (I have super cold feet and sock elves constantly steal mine) and the ability to make something so beautiful in such a simple manner is just so fantastic. If you want to pick me because I’m super poor (cannot even afford the cheapest yarn) that would be cool, however I would make the most beautiful pair of socks for myself and appreciate them every time I wear them.

  11. Jennifer

    First reaction to colorway:
Toto, I don’t think were in Kansas anymore.

    Second reaction to colorway:
I promised myself I would not buy any more yarn…this year.

    Third reaction to colorway:
I will not buy yarn…I will not buy yarn…*skips delightfully over to new yarn website with her wallet and christmas money*

  12. Emmy Jay

Ooh! What a glorious skein of “sock” yarn (gotta use quotes, ‘coz lately I seem to make everything *but* socks out of it!)

Wow, I love blue. Any yarn, either cotton or wool or other stuff… anything blue will do 😉 If I end up with this lovely colorful stuff, I promise to turn at least a tiny part of it into a Blue Mark. Not familiar with that phenomenon yet? Take a look at to see what it is all about. You can all be a part of this art project, so feel free to join!

M.E. is like a dark cloud, we can give it a blue lining.

  34. Renee

It was heartbreaking when Lisa moved out of the bay area to the foothills except that where she lives is spectacularly gorgeous as you can see on her blog. Her colors arise from the colors around her. She’s an amazing artist.

  35. Kitten With A Whiplash

That is such beautiful yarn, and if you look very closely you’ll see it has my name all over it. Thanks for the giveaway!

  36. Mairi

That’s just lovely. I’ve enjoyed other Lisa Souza yarns in the past, but not (yet) BFL. Keeping my fingers crossed…

  37. Rosemary

Woooozza! I have near 100 skeins of sock yarn but not this brand. Beautifuuuuul. And an incredible amount of yardage which would cover my size 11 foot. Hope I can make some socks with this baby.

  39. Nancy

On the one hand, coming here is always great for introducing me to new yarn; on the other hand, my bank account does not thank you for it!

  40. Linda M.

Greens and blues – one of my favorite color combinations. Yet there is a definite lack of the color green in my sock drawer.

  41. Barbara B.

Emerald City – If I close my eyes and click my heels together three times . . . This would look lovely with ruby slippers!

  42. Cindy

I love this yarn, it makes me think of a trip to the Caribbean islands which, in the middle of Pennsylvania winter is as fantastical as a trip to Oz!

Beautiful colors in that yarn! The lighter turquoise shade reminds me of the first time I heard about Lisa Souza’s yarn — Stephanie/Yarn Harlot was making something in a similar shade.

  51. Terri

The most gorgeous colorway ever! And the name Emerald City makes me nostalgic for my hometown, Seattle.
